Microsoft Exchange Server acts
as the communication powerhouse in an organization. It’s not only recommended
but a precautionary step to take the backup of Exchange Server Database (EDB)
files. Each EDB file can store one to hundreds of mailboxes. A regular and
updated backup helps the Administrators to restore the Exchange Server in case
of any emergency when the server or particular EDB files crashes. Such a
situation appears because of different reasons such as power failure, sudden
shut down, unexpected restart, etc. In these situations, the EDB files become
inaccessible to the users and the Exchange Server. In order to get their working
state back, it’s required to restore Exchange backup.
